I know exactly how you feel about your dog. I rescued mine at the age of 7, almost 8. She's turning 9 in two days. I can only hope she'll live another 10 years. She's super active and a lot of people think she's still a puppy. Watching her sleep all cozy, dreaming of squirrels or whatever, sometimes makes me sad/happy at the same time.
